An afternoon in Downtown Stuart

It was a quick but enjoyable visit. It was basically for me to pick up some friends of my parents and take them to Clermont (south of Orlando). About 2 hours driving that doesn’t bother me at all.

After picking them up, we walked around Downtown Stuart for a while and took the opportunity to get lunch at one of the restaurants.

I noticed that there was a restaurant that I already knew from Vero Beach, Mulligan’s Beach House Bar & Grill, so we decided to try Stuart Boathouse. Always looking for something different and new.

The place is a bit pricey, compared to Mulligan’s, but it was worth it. Everything was delicious. It is a really nice restaurant, they even have an outdoor area facing the Saint Lucie River.

In downtown there are several shops, other restaurants and a place to rest and sit down in front of the river. From there you can take a ‘tiki taxi’ which really looks like a lot of fun, and that makes me to want to go back to Stuart for one night at least.

Nearby, about 10 minutes from downtown, you can get to the beach, which is always a good option.
