Christmas lights in Lake Mary (Central Florida)

Lake Mary is a city located about 30 minutes from downtown Orlando. Not a tourist spot, but it has many nice and beautiful places to visit.

You can get there from Orlando (or from the theme parks) using I4 towards Daytona Beach (east bound) and after passing Altamonte Springs and Longwood, you’ll arrive in the city of Lake Mary.

The downtown area, Central Park, has several shops and restaurants that I love to visit. Even on the 1st Wednesday of each month they celebrate Wine & Art (art and wines) with some crafts and food trucks. And of course, wines.

Also in that area, they decorate it for the holidays and looks very good!. This 2022 the celebration began on December 3. All the trees in the area have lights, different decorations and a big Christmas tree in front of the City Hall. Every 30 minutes, for about 5-7 minutes, you can enjoy a light show that dances to the music. Take a walk around the area, enjoy the nice weather and a fun light show.

When I visited, some families were taking advantage of the good weather to relax with the little ones playing with a ball or just strolling around with their dogs. Once the show starts, everyone stops to enjoy it or even dance to the rhythm with the lights ?.

The event is free so don’t hesite to visit and later sit at one of the restaurants to eat. We love a Greek one and 4th Street, a sports bar with very tasty food.
