3 places to eat in Vero Beach

Vero Beach is located on the east coast of Florida, about 2hrs30min from Miami and almost 2hrs from Orlando.

It is a really nice city to visit. We already stayed twice at “Holiday Inn & Suites Vero Beach-Oceanside, an IHG Hotel” because it’s right on the beach and walking distance from several restaurants and bars. In the future, we would like to stay at “The Historic Driftwood Resort” since it looks different and fun.

While in Florida, if you want to spend few days relaxing by the beach, I really recommend Vero Beach. I think staying 2 or 3 nights seems enough to take advantage of the ocean and stroll around the bars and restaurants in the area.

Here I suggest to you 3 restaurants that we enjoy the most … so far:

Mulligan’s Beach House: It is located next to the hotel (Holiday Inn) and if you stay there you get 10% for breakfast.

The food is good, the atmosphere is really nice and the service is very friendly.

You can choose to sit outside, closer to the sea or inside with air conditioning. Another option, you can sit in the colorful chairs to enjoy a drink overlooking the sea.

And don’t forget ‘Happy Hour’!

Lemon Tree: A very lovely little space. Here we visited it for breakfast, to try something different, as we said before going to the place, and we really loved it.

Between juices, coffees and delicious dishes such as Eggs Benedicts or a Quiche, we had a great morning.

It really is a good option for a delicious breakfast. A few steps away from the hotels and the beach.

Waldo’s Restaurant: Okay … let’s start with the hotel where it is located, The Historic Driftwood Resort is amazing!

It is not the typical place where you usually stay, it is not an ordinary building since it was built with driftwood. You will even be able to see areas that are not symmetrical nor even.

The restaurant is great too. The 1st night we sat inside and there was live music. On that visit, I ordered some chicken strips that were so good that we had to go back before finishing the trip to eat some more.

On a 2nd visit, we sat outside, near the pool and overlooking the ocean. Perfect to end the trip to Vero Beach.

Extra: Why not adding an extra spot to this list? Although you would have to drive to go to Disney’s Vero Beach, visiting the Wind & Waves Grill is an excellent option. They offer breakfast and dinner, we visited for dinner. The resort itself is a beauty and obviously the service is always 5 stars -I have never had a bad experience at anything at Disney-.
